Description

Rest in Pieces presents the Art of Taxidermy, a talk and skinning demonstration with founder Natalie Delaney-John. The evening offers an opportunity to gain unique insights into this age-old practice that remains macabre to some, yet strangely beautiful to others.

Natalie will speak about the practice and history of taxidermy in an illustrated talk followed by a skinning demonstration. This workshop is not for the squeamish, but will fascinate those with a healthy curiosity and an open mind.

You can also pre-order a DIY Revival Kit so that you can begin your RIP taxidermy journey in the comfort of your own home.

You can find out more information about Rest in Pieces on www.restinpieces.com.au

Nat's talk was insightful, fun and really engaging, I really enjoyed hearing about her experiences starting out and how she's wanting to make the industry more welcoming. Really great night and will definatly book tickets the next time Rip is in Canberra.

I took my wife to see the talk and demo as a birthday present for her, and since we are both avid collectors of taxidermy pieces. We both had a great night! It was so nice to have this come to Canberra, where we usually have to travel a fair distance to find something like it. Nat was a wonderful speaker, her talk was heartfelt and honest, really eye opening about how she started off and what led her up to this point. The demo was lighthearted, and a really nice introduction for first timers who, like myself, may have been a little worried about watching something get skinned up close for the first time! I would love to go to more events like this, and my wife and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more classes from Rest in Pieces near us in the future! <3
